I need to take a document created in open office writer, attach it to an email, and have someone else open it up and look at it Microsoft Word? Can I do this?
I am using open office version 2.
Thanks

Yes, you can but you must do a SAVE AS and choose a Microsoft Office format.
Then attach the file which was saved this way: it must have a doc extension if you did it properly |

A clarification, any format that both MS Word and OO.o recognize would work. So, rich text format would also work.
If as implied in the original post they only need to view it you could also export it as a PDF. _________________ Ron from Iowa, USA |
