Project time billing / tracking

Hi.

I used to use Filemaker's time billing table/form/db, and am now trying to convert the information to Base.

I have created the following:

Project table with:
ID (primary key)
Title
[and several other fields]

Time table with:
ID (primary key)
Project ID
Hours billed
Notes

The "Project ID" field in the Time table is linked to the "ID" field in the Project table. The relationship has no updating features.

I'm having some difficulty with trying to figure out how I can create a field in my Project form which will display the total number of hours for a specific project.

For example, if I have 10 lines of hours for project 1, and 8 lines for project 2, how can I get the total number of hours for each project on a field?

I'm thinking it will require a query, but I"m not sure how it'll work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
