I have tried rehearsing the timings for a slide show but can't get it to run automatically - i have taken the tick out of Change SLides Manually in Slide Show settings. I can't find a way to view or change the rehearsed timings either. In 1.1 there was an object bar where you could set the transition to automatic, manual or semi-automatic and change timings - i can't find that any more.

I am open to correction in this but from my use of Impress it is not a case of simply converting any slideshow into an automatic presentation. Slides must be fully exposed on transition, that is they should not contain custom animations. It means that bullet points cannot come in one at a time but maybe that is unnecessary in automatic presentations.

btw
I should have said that making the presentation automatic is better done through the Slide Transition dialog. So, in Slide Show Settings just leave the Type as Default.
But, in Slide Transition, choose Advance Slide... Automatically After... xx secs.
Hope this all helps.

Yes, thanks, you're right, the reason it wasn't working is because i had animations on the slides. But where do the timings go when you rehearse them - they don't seem to stored in Automatically after on the slide transition.

Not something I do normally. But I've tried to follow the guidance in Help with no success. Can't find on the Slide View and options for saving or editing. Must search for an issue or bug report. _________________ OOo-DEV 3.4 -Seamonkey, Firefox & Thunderbird trunk - Win Vista HB

I realise that you can have animations in automatic slide shows so long as the animation start effect is not on click.
