Tabs for multiple documents

Hi all:

I did a forum search but did not find much about what I am asking. Is it possible (or will it be in the future) to have tabs (similar to Firefox) for multiple .doc files (and for the other programs in OO)?

I normally work with many doc files and this would be great. Thanks for any help. Smile

Yes, tabs are one of the most top voted features in the Issue Tracker, and someone developed this feature through Google Summer of Code.

From the summer of code entry, it is possible to have tabs? Let me go and try that. Has it worked for anyone else on Windows?

I tried that tab plugin. I copied the dll files and when I try to 'regcomp' I get that it failed to work successfully. And now OO shows the splash screen but doesn't start...

I haven't used the tabbed browsing, I suspect the libraries refer to an old release and do not work with the current release. Therefore, you will need to recompile the libraries.
