I am new to OpenOffice and I can not find info on my problem.

When I select TOOLS..LANGUAGE...the Thesaurus is not an option, it is grey, so I presume it is not loaded with the software. The information I get on the website is that it should be loaded when I downloaded the software.

I would appreciate any help on the subject Sad

This seems to depend on what language and version of the language you are using. In English I think the only thesaurus available is the en_US one at the moment. However, when I downloaded en_CA OOo recently seems to have started supplying the en_US thesaurus. As far as I know, the en_UK dictonary does not have a thesaurus.

A search on the forum should turn up a workaround. I believe it has been posted several times by 8daysaweek
