Is there a way to alter the functionality of the read-only mode in OpenOffice?
I have some spreadsheets that are used to generate barcodes when information is input and previously with Excel even if someone else was in the file it would let you change numbers to get new results but not save since it was read-only. In OO you get the nice prompt that it is in read-only and can't change anything.
I realize that using a spreadsheet in this fashion isn't the nicest of solutions, but alas! |

You may consider scenarios.
There is an option, that makes scenario-values editable, but not saveable. |

Not nessecary.
Create some dummy scenarios with some dummy data and read the online help.
After 5 minutes of testing you know. |
