I have a 3D object which I really like the look of...I'd like to make its settings (including rotation, if I can) a favorite so I can easily apply it to other objects. How would I go about doing this?

Thanks,
elem

If you want to add a 3d style to the favourites, try this

1/ Create your object with all the formating/textures/Lighting etc.
2/Open the gallery and select 3D Effects
3/Select your object then move the cursor till the move indicator appears (4 headed arrow).
4/ hold down your left mouse button and then the ctrl key. After a few seconds a plus symbol appears, indicating you are creating a copy
5/ Drag this and drop into the 3D effects gallery
6/ Now when you open the 3D settings box you will see the object . You can then assign its settings to any new object using the assign styles button.

Once you get the hang of dragging objects in and out of the gallery, you can reuse any part or style from a drawing you have created. A huge time saver.

You probably don't need to hold down Ctrl. Just click and hold the 3D object until the cursor blinks then drag to the Gallery.

The only way I have found to add objects to the gallery is to get the cursor into copy mode by pressing the ctrl key when the move cursor (4 arrows) is displayed.
P.S. It takes about 2 seconds to change into copy mode.
Once you master copy mode you should never have to draw anything twice.
