Honestly, I would aks the folks at the office to flip for the price of MS Access for me. If you are willing to take work home, they should be wiling to help you do it. It is cheaper then paying you over time.
You can extract the data from Access to Base, but some data types seem to be a problem. You can move data from Base back to Access. But it is not an update process, it is all or nothing and even then there seems to be a bunch of problems with it still.
Your Access forms, queries and reports don't move across at all and the same is true from Base to Access. Base and Access interoperability is just not on a pare with the rest of the OpenOffce / MSOffice modules at this time.
Moving from Access to Base is one thing - using one at home and the other at work..I would not even try at this stage of Bases development.
