|
|
I haven't yet checked the issues db, where I assume I'll find it's a bug - but is there any way to suppress the blank first page you get when putting a page break before an "order by" field in a report? I like the fact that I can have each group start on a new page, but none of the Writer options I've tried have helped, and the first page being blank, except for header and footer, is pretty poor design...
Thanks,

I belive that was the default under 2.0.0, under 2.0.1 it is not.
For you reports under 2.0.0 or to add a break under 2.0.1 you open the report definition in edit mode. Place your cursor in the in the cell for the group heading and bring up the context menu. Select Table. On the tab for Text flow you should find Break >page>Before set, as I recal. Simply uncheck the Break checkbox ( or check it if you are trying to add this).
You can make any changes you want to the breaks for the report this way.

Hi Drew,
Thanks for your reply. I already have 2.0.1 installed, so the issue is still there, unfortunately.

I'm on Win2K. I'll rebuild it with a different report layout - I didn't choose the default formatting - and see if that helps...

Drew,
I chose all the defaults, then went in and added the "page break before", and still get the leading blank page.
I guess it should be possible to build the report in Writer, using the Data Sources? What do you think?
Cheers,
