printer no workey

Hello OO folks,
I just set up OO on my Compaq machine, with XP as OS. Using HP Photosmart 7260 printer, which I never had problems with before.

Printing is not happening at all. No buzzes or clicks from printer, no icon in tray, nada. Yes, printer is on; yes, there is paper loaded.

Everything seems to be copasetic in printer settings.

Thoughts?

Are you using OOo version 2.0.1? Do you have any network printers installed (even if the HP is not one of them)? Can you print to a different printer from the same computer from OpenOffice.org?

1). No, it's 2.0

2). No, just the HP

3). I don't know, only have the one.

Some ideas:
- Try rebooting.
- Try 2.0.1 or the "snapshot" version from http://download.openoffice.org. (The snapshot may be unstable, but the snapshot has bug fixes that will become 2.0.2 schedule to be released soon.)

btw, why izzit on this thread have to re-enter subject every x? shouldn't it be there by default?
