|
|
Hi, im Boris.
I use Open Office 1.0 in Linux RH9(XFCE). In Open Office Writer I made a table with formulas in some cages,,,, but after saving and re-opening the document, the Writer forgets the formulas (result-numbers are still in the cages of the table) .
Can somebody help me please?!!
TKS in advance and TKS to GOD that there's linux&Openoffice |

OOo 1.0 is now very old, upgrading to 2.0.x (or even just 1.1.x) would probably fix this problem.
Your system should run 2.0.x so I would suggest waiting for the release of 2.0.2, due next week. _________________ Arch Linux

I've made a mistake....OO 2.0 under WIN XP SP2 doesn't save any formulas...for my luck OO 1.0 under Linux RH( (XFCE) did it. Now when I open the document in windows formulas are saved..
Thank you anyway(special to 9point9) |

The whole problem was, because of saving the file in *.doc extension (Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP). Saving the file as *.doc Microsoft Word 95 or 6.0 was a problem too.
So the resolution was saving and editing in *.sxw format (OpenOffice.org 1.0 Text Document)....neither in WIN nor in Linux I had a problem.
Best Regards |

MS Word does not support Formulas in tables. If you save your document as *.DOC, you will loose the formulas... _________________ "Do one thing every day that scares you" |
