Hi. I have a serious problem. I can't open attached files directly, without saving them on my PC. When I try to open .doc from my e-mail, Open Office is loading, but then there is this message - can' find the path to .doc. I tried to change the location of my Temporary Internet Files, but nothing happened - can't find the path againa. Can someone tell me a solution of my problem?

What email client are you using? You could try using another program. Thunderbird works very well for me. I would always save an attachment before opening it when doing this. _________________ Arch Linux

Windows?
It likely has to do with "association" of files as set up in your email program. If I have several paint programs installed, which one will open a graphic image as an email attachment? That depends upon which is associated with that type of file. How you do the setup is dependent upon your email program, the programs you have available to open that type of file, and your ability to associate files. I use a 3rd party freeware program called "Associate", but forget where I got it. You might try a websearch, if that is indeed the problem. You can do it through Windows software, but the above makes it simpler and more comprehensive
