Anyone heard about John Haller's progress (if any) on getting 2.0.2 out on U3? I was looking to reinstall to my U3 drive, but alas... new version's not out yet.

John indicates he's working on it. Also, the portable apps (portableapps.com) are not actually U3 but work on any USB drive with enough storage space. See this link regarding your question:
