linked objects (images) size

Working with Write, Impress or Draw I always insert images as a link. If I need to insert in a document something done with Draw, I insert it as a linked OLE object.

Problem is:

When I change the original image/drawing's size (including its aspect ratio) the object in my target document gets distorted. In fact the frame's initial size is kept and it just deform the recently changed image to fit in.

I would like to avoid this cause every time I change my original image I have to erase the inserted copy in the target document to reinsert it, which turns kind of useless the linking function.
