Hello,
for diagrams I often need to draw lines with hollow arrowheads, but Draw only supports solid ones. Is there a solution to achieve that or a ready to use library with such lines?
Regards,

You can add arbitrary shapes as custom line ends: just draw the shape, select it and add it using the "Arrow Styles" tab of the Format > Line dialog. There's more detail in the Draw manual (online at http://www.lulu.com/opendocument).
As the manual says, however, the line-end shapes are always closed shapes and filled, so it's tricky to get what you want. Here's one way that almost works: use a hollow figure, like so:
The shape I drew is at the top, except I went on to close up the gap at the bottom by moving the points at the center together. Note that it is still a closed figure which only appears to have an open center.
As you can see, when I use it on a line (lower), the shaft of the line extends into the arrowhead. I have no idea how that might be adjusted. Maybe you can live with that little glitch. |
