| I download a .zip package which contains content.xml,manifest.xml,meta.xml ... how to open these using openoffice in the right way ? |

Although OOo files are ZIP archives, OOo cannot open .zip files. The file must have one of OOo's file extensions like .odt, .ods or .sxw, depending on the file type (writer, calc) and the OOo version. So try to rename the .zip file to the OOo file type. If you have no idea, try them all.

Even if you get the wrong extension the program will open it as the right type of file.
