hy all, after long time i was so angry about oo that i take time to look for informations about the fields-conversions from Ms-office 97 to OOo 2.0.2
as i have seen lot of problems after developing from 1.1 to now 2.0.2 i must say version 1.1 works most better for this and lot of things work in the older version, but there is a big bug in combination with win98 so i must cange to the newer versions and from version 2.0 the bug seamed eliminated *bytheway*
my problems are the following when i use Ms-o and OOo basing on the file format .doc
one of this is the integrations of hidden text in OOo 2.0.2 there nothing apear
the other problem are the text fields that users can't use the tab-key for going from one field to the next field, there i have seen an solutions when a file will be opened the boxes open one after the next the fields, the problem is only that the file is uses in MS-O too
the third problem is using fields and hidden text in different tables so when i print it i don't have the same result like printing it from ms-o
the last problem is that the form field box is very small
mybe somebody has an idea that it will be the same like in ms-office????

actualy i tried a lot but i don't see solution,
probably that are bugs, i don't know if this problems will be solved in the next release,
but i think that it will not happen,
in my bug-trace i have open 3 bugs and there only one has the possibility bo be solved in the next time.
for my oppinion actualy i can only reccomand OOo for private use and if the user don't do some strange things that will cause some compatibility problems.
for my experience i have seen some conversions problems with the sxw and odt
i have had onetime an document that automaticaly opended the form fields
