I am having a tough time with this one. I have OO 1.1, an Oracle 8.0 database and running on Windows 98. I want to replace Microsoft Query by using Spreadsheet.
I tried connecting via odbc but that didn't work. Then i read some stuff about using jdbc but can't figure that out. Are there some detailed instructions somewhere? I found some stuff about Redhat but that didn't help me any.
Basically I've got nothing done so I need all instructions from the beginning.
thanks in advance |

Murphy lives
Of course as soon as I write my request for help I suddenly get an odbc connection to Oracle to work. It is very slow but it does work.
If jdbc is supposed to be faster than odbc than I would still be interested in that. |
