Hello,
we would like to save all our documents in sxw format, but often we must send them to other users in do format.
Is there nothing comparable to "send to as pdf" ?
If the users must save the sxw in doc also, before sendind, get will be a little confused having two similar files.
Thanks

if you want to send a file you have to first save it as a .doc and then perhaps delete it.I save these extra doc files in a folder that I clear out from time to time.
It is a pain,
does anyone know if the new XML based MS product will be able to read sxw files? _________________ carl

What would really be cool is if some Microsoft Office developer would write an import/export filter for OOo documents.
Now you could send an Writer, Calc or Impress document to someone. If they can't read it, then point them to the freely downloadable filter for Microsoft Office. _________________ Want to make OOo Drawings like the colored flower design to the left? |

It should be fairly easy to write a macro to accomplish this task. I would send an email to users@openoffice.org the OO mailing list on which these things are discussed. There is a pro around on that list (Andrew Pitonyak) who knows everything about macros. He also has a website up that might be of some help:
http://www.pitonyak.org/oo.php
Hope tis is of some help
