Here's my problem: I insert any graphic file in my Writer 2.03 document and then add a caption using the image's context menu. The result is a frame containing the image and the newly created caption. However, I did not find a possibilty to adjust the vertical spacing between the image and the caption. The default spacing is too little for me. So how can I increase it? Question

Select the Image.
Rightclick on the image and select Image..

In the opened dialog choose tab Wrap.

You can adjust the spacing with the spinboxes in the lower left corner

Thank you, that worked for now.. I tried that before already, but in the "Graphics" frame style and not with the image directly. There are the same settings in that style, but those are ignored - why? The style is linked to the image after inserting it.. but when I set bottom spacing in that style, nothing happens.

Just a wild guess:

The image and the caption are together inserted in the same frame, so forming one object.

But they are, obviously two objects. It seems that you can only change this spacing then by either increase it with Image-style or with the Frame-style.

It seems that you can change the Frame-style to increase the bottom distance for the caption. Once changed this should be valid for all new captions with the style Frame.
