I also wants to know this, but difference is
if open document is text documents then default save should be MS - Word- DOC
and if docuemnt is Spread Sheet then MS-Word-XLS.
Please help |

Thanks for help.
Now I can save directly in doc or xls.
Is it also possible that OO will remember the default save or load folder for each type of file separetly like MS office ?
Presently what OO is doing is if I open one file say from c:\temp and work on it then close OO. If after that I start OO again and use open command then it directly go to c:\temp. Whereas in MS office if I am trying to open DOC then it goes to default folder for DOC files and similarly for other formats.
Is it possible in OO also ???
If you can provide help in this matter, it will be of great use. |

your problem is that you have always open in background the ooo, you can see the symbol in the right corner where the time is displayed,
close it and took it out from the autostart so the problem with the folder will resolved,
and the default save folder you find in tools options ... how it describes slacknote
good luck _________________ Not everything that you use, is good for you!

I have closed Startup OO and now runs every time with It's Icon.
But still the problem is same. It remembers the last folder which I use to open some file. I required that after closing on any session, it should go directly to default folder in new session. |

so it seams that it will be a bug,
so you can report it in the bugzilla,
probably in 2.0.3 will be a lot of bugs, this too
for this i don't have a solution.
i can't try it on my pc, becouse i have killed something in openoffice,
but if it doesen't work on a other pc so it is a bug, _________________ Not everything that you use, is good for you!
