Go into OpenOffice.org Draw. Go into the help files and do a search on Flowchart. There are instructions there. Sorry, but I have not used it before for that purpose, but the steps are right in the help files. _________________ Ron from Iowa, USA |

Recently I developed a new visio-like software, It's CuteDraw. Only 5M but powerful indeed.
You can review more interface at http://www.cutedraw.com - Includes some templates such as basic flowchart, SDL flow chart, work flow, org chart. _________________ CuteDraw

If you use OOo Draw to make a flow chart, you may run into problems with decisions where you want a Yes and a No path labelled by the connectors. Although it is possible to associate labels with a connector, you will find that the default label position centralises on the area occupied by the object. If you want the label to be adjacent to the decision box, you will find that there is no easy way to accomodate this.
I have found that it is best to add extra text and group this with the decision box in the place where you want it. This way, when things get moved around to tidy the diagram, everything stays in the right place. When this is done, Draw works reasonably well for flow charts.

Definitely spam. It's the message that made me search for (and realize the lack of) a "Mark as Spam" button in these forums. We should really have that. |

A little late to the game, but I just wanted to mention that I released a free OpenOffice flowchart template today. I think it looks about 500% better than the default style.
Hopefully this will help any latecomers... |
