I'm using Open Office to create some documents in pdf format.
I archive these documents (with digital signature) in my database, of legal act.
Now is available a different version of PDF, (PDF 1.4-A), stable for long duration archives.
The italian's law accept this format with full legal valor for the archives.
Can OpenOffice export documents in this ISO format?
Sorry for bad english. |

I had thought that OOo only produced PDF/a 1.3 files but have found that it does do 1.4. Produce a PDF and look at it's properties under your PDF viewer and you will see.
However, it does not seem to implement all of the PDF features, see this bug report:
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=19696
OOo produces PDF-1.4. .... It does not make use of
the 1.4 features (alpha transparency), although it displays as much as
it can.
ISO has ratified 1.4 as a standard but still some bodies stick to older versions for their own standards. Some years ago the US was hanging on to 1.2 while 1.3 was out, it may not have changed since then. _________________ Arch Linux
