Hi,
I use OO in Ubuntu, but we had great hopes to use OO in both our business machines running WinXP Pro.
Before we installed OO, we had created quite a few Business letterheads with graphic logo's, FAX templates, and other business oriented documents with layouts gathered from templates and some we created ourselves in the course of normal business.
In almost all cases, OO did not translate the template layouts correctly, and we were forced to return to MS Word rather than waste time trying to figure out if this is fixable in some way.
We are back to using MS Word and Excel, but as I have a little time now, I would like to ask if this situation is normal for the present version, or if this is a common issue that is easily fixed?

Yes it is, because the MS Word file format is closed source. So there are sometimes some difficulties in importing the exact layout.
