I use OOo 2.0.3 on WinXP
On Word, each time I modified a style, I had the option to update the template.
If I then opened other docs based on the same template, then any text based on the modified style was correctly modified.
Is there an option in Writer that allows me to automatically update the template with a modified style?
Regards,
Alan |

Hi Alan!
I don't think that OO has that feature. It would be a nice one to have though. You might want to file an enhancement request to have it included in future versions.
All I could come up with, other are welcomed to correct me here..., you would have to overwrite the existing template...

You can copy the styles from documents to templates though - see the help for template management which arguably provides a much more precise control over what you are doing.
After you save the document with updated styles,
Copy the updated styles into the template (using File> Templates> Organise)
Optionally, make the updated template the default (you cannot directly update the default) |
