This is really odd. I open OpenOffice.org and all the buttons appear normally on the screen. But the instant I hover my mouse over any of them, all the buttons disappear but the one I'm hovered over.
I use Dapper with GNOME.
I hope I included enough detail.
By the way. This seems to only happen when I use GNOME. So, I've been forced to open a KDE session any time I want to use it.

Are you using the OOo official packages (did you download them from openoffice.org) or ones from Ubuntu?
If you use packages from Ubuntu, Download OOo from openoffice.org, convert the RPM packages to DEB and install.
Open source also means that everyone can mess up with the code. They sure do in some distributions. _________________ www.kaaredyret.dk - OpenOffice resources (templates, extensions, tutorials and more) !

Do you have the gtk2-engines-gtk-qt package installed ?
It seems this is the root cause but I'm not 100% sure of it. Removing it has solved the issue for some. _________________ Now on the EN user community forum |
