|
|
I have just started to use OpenOffice and found it is really good. Does anyone know how to display recently opened files so that they can be opened with a click of the mouse please.
Also if that facility is available is there any way to increase the number of recently opened files that can be displayed please.
One last question. Is there any way to search the FAQ's as I see there are over 200 pages
Many thanks in anticipation of your kind help in this matter fellow open office converts

Start OOo Writer and call "File" > "Recent Documents".

Dear Bhikkhu and hol.sten
Thank you for your helpful replies.
The account in which the Macro is being held is currently busy or down so I will keep trying until I get it (there are no mirror sites).
One last question. I know that Macros are like actions that you perform than can be recorded and converted into code. How do you take the macro code once it is downloaded and insert into the writer program please.
Kind regards

Take a look at Issue 55002 - add Recent Files list to Quickstarter Menu.
Another way to manage Open Office Documents.
Organise your files in Windows Explorer, say in a subfolder of My Documents and further subfolders for each project. Right-click on the Windows Task Bar and create a new toolbar. Browse to your Open Office documents folder and add that as a toolbar. Drag the toolbar as small as it will go to get a folder toolbar.
Click on the drop down and open any document directly from there in Open Office.
