|
|
Hi, I use OOo on Windows XP, and love the functionality of the taskbar - that when I double-click it, a window comes up "Templates and Documents - New Document".
Is there a way I can access that window by using a shortcut that I put on my desktop, instead of having all the shortcuts to individual OOo apps cluttering my space?
Thanks,
Brian |

| To open a new document, right click on the OpenOffice.org Quickstarter in your Windows system tray (next to the clock). |

He knows that. He wants a shortcut for this feature as a desktop icon and wants to disable the quickstarter (icons next to clock), right?
I don't know! I looked at the command line switches for soffice.exe (try "soffice.exe -?") but of course that is not the solution, that would load OpenOffice entirely first. The feature is built into quickstarter.exe, the program running in your system tray, but I didn't find any command line switches for this feature. _________________ www.kaaredyret.dk - OpenOffice resources (templates, extensions, tutorials and more) !

Hmm, right. I've been sufficing with the taskbar icon for now, but if someone finds a switch that'll work, that would be great.
Thanks again |
