This problem seems to have occured in prior versions as well:
The Windows installer requests for a file openofficeorgxxxx.msi which is not present any more (being deleted when sweeping unuseful rubbish)
I thought to have solved it on my W2K System by running regedit with administrator privileges (runas /user:administrator [%SystemRoot%]\regedit.com), searching for the appropriate String ("openofficeorg") and deleting the whole key under "Installer".
After this setup worked as it should, but after starting OOo and asking for the "about" it still replies with OpenOffice.org 2.0 ("Beta" has disapperaed) / OpenOffice.org 1.9.125
What went wrong?
Any hint how to tackle the task? |
