My first question - are there plans to add a PDF import filter to OpenOfficeWriter? From what I've read, it seems PDF2oo is designed to do just that.
My second question pertains to some older PDF documents in my downloads folder that have outdated hyperlinks (links that go nowhere). Will Foxit, or any other PDF editor allow me to change those hyperlinks, or will I need the source code for the PDF to do that? Of course, if I have the source code, everything I mentioned can be done with OpenOfficeWriter.
Seems the alternative would be to copy the content to OpenOfficeWriter, modify and format the content, insert the images from the original PDF and then export the file in PDF. A tedious task, but well worth it to update a useful docuent someone has abandoned.

No plans that I have heard of. It is probably pretty low on the developers todo list presently. _________________ Retake The WEB

They planned it and the fruit is ready. Please try the new experimental release of PDF Import for OpenOffice.org Draw 3.0.
John, it's been a few years.I hope you still enjoy OpenOffice.org. This is an old thread, but thought you or people searching the archives would still be interested. _________________ <signature>

| Yes, very much appreciated. And yes, I am still a happy user of OpenOffice, as well as other programs like phpList, phpAdsNew, theGIMP and Infinite Responder. |
