Hi! Help please! Can somebody write a macro so that I can do what I do in Excel.

In Excel, when I press ENTER in column D, G and K, the cursor goes to the next ROW DOWN in colums A.

Example, if I return in D7, then the active cell becomes: A8;

if I return in K15, then the active cell becomes: A16.

I have tryed to convert the Microsoft Visual Basics to OpenOffice BUT I CAN NOT GET IT TO WORK.

As I am truly lost, could I please also be told where to copy the macro, PLEASE!

Howdy. You do not need a macro for that.

Either use the arrow keys instead of ENTER or use Tools >Customise : Keyboard.

That dialogue opens with the function you want : category "Internal", Function "Move down". In the top box, select "Return" and press "Modify".

After much experimentation in solving my original issue, RIGHT ON TOP, ABOVE, the suggestion of going to:

TOOLS>OPTION>KEYBOARD>CATEGORY>NAVIGATTE>TO THE LEFT MARGIN>ENTER>MODIFY>OK

partially works in the sence that if I WOULD BE IN SAY "M 16", BY PRESSING "ENTER", CALC WILL GO TO "M 1"and only if THERE IS NO DATA;

with DATA ENTERED SAY IN CELL "W 23" YOU NEED TO PRESS "ENTER" FEW TIMES BEFORE IT WOULD GO TO "W 1"

BACK TO SQARE 1, CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE - PLEASE WRITE A MACRO, TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM, ABOVE, OTHERWISE, I WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE TO USE MICROSOFT.
