Hello Evryone, i need your help.
My System is in german my openoffice is in german + korean language pack.
When i
try to open a
korean spelled document
at the (win)explorer
it doesn´t open.
Can anyone help me please, my parents grate me.
And they doesn´t get it to open the file in OpenOffice "File->open->file open"

Ich habe folgendes Problem
Mein Open Office öffnet keine Datein mit koreanischem Dateinamen.
Was soll ich machen? Ausser über das Programm selbst, über "Datei->Öffnen->Datei öffnen."

What version of Windows are you using? What file system is used? A similar thing was reported a few weeks ago and it seems to be a problem with some filesystems like FAT32. They don't store many Asian characters correctly so if you try and open the file, Windows can't find the file with that name. One workaround is to look at the files on a DOS prompt to see what the 8.3 format name is and use that to open the file manually.
A better way is just to switch away from file systems like FAT32 as they can't handle Unicode characters in filenames well. NTFS should work fine. _________________ Arch Linux
