|
|
I would lik to number the section of my document automatically. Bellow is an example. The title of each of the sections = the header type I would use.
1 - Header 1
1.1 - Header 2
1.2 - Header 2
1.2.1 - Header 3
2 - Header 1
Using the numbering functions I got various results that is not what I wanted.
Heade 1, uses numbering 1
Heade 2, uses numbering 2
Heade 3, uses numbering 3
1 Header - 1
2 Header - 2
3 Header - 2
3 Header - 3
2 Header - 1
Heade 1, uses numbering 1
Heade 2, uses numbering 1
Heade 3, uses numbering 1
1 Header - 1
1 Header - 2
2 Header - 2
1 Header - 3
2 Header - 1
This last one looks almost like what I want if I could only prefix the header with the path it was under.
Is this possible? Will it work with a master document?

Don't use the numbering styles for headings but menu Tools>Outline Numbering. There are all the options you need here.
Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if it's ok. _________________ Now on the EN user community forum |
