Open and Save dialog boxes won't open

I've been using OOo for about six months. All of a sudden, I cannot open a file or save a file, because the dialog boxes won't open. I click the open button to open a file or try to "Save As" and nothing happens. I can't think of what may have changed.

This is not consistent, btw. It happened the day before yesterday, then was fine yesterday, and now is happening again today.

You can try to use the OOo dialogs in the menu Tools>Options>OpenOffice.org>General.

But this is rather strange indeed.

I checked "Use OpenOffice.org dialogs," which is now working, but it's weird that the Windows dialog boxes, which I assume is what they were, are not. At least I can use the program now, though.
