Ok, I have gone through the tutorials and found that i can change page one of style and the rest go to default.
I need the first six pages of what I'm working on to be of one style, and the rest of the pages to be another.
If I say make the first 6 pages a default style, then switch page 7 to the style I want, it changes all the pages before it.
Any ideas?

Found own answer in playing with page numbers. Of course I mess with it for several hours, the second I post, I figure it out...
