| I am getting sick of Calc asking me "what" I want to delete when I press del to clear a cell. Is there any way to set it to just clear everything but formatting and not ask me every time? I looked in the prefs but did not see anything |

| You could just do "cut" or ctrl+x to delete without the box popping up, but this may not be useful if you want to keep something else in your clipboard! That's all I can think of though. |

For a simple delete, without options, use the Backspace key. You can change the key bindings with Tools >Customise : Keyboard. Both functions are described as "Delete Contents" in the "Edit" category, IIRC. _________________ search forum by month |

| I've been using shift+delete, but I don't know if it uses my last "delete pop-up" settings or not. Alternately, ctrl+- deletes cells and pops-up to ask which way to shift remaining cells. |
