All the OOo apps suffer from the same useless Files | Recent Files "feature" - a list of the last ten files opened in any OOo app. When I open Calc, I am not interested in seeing a list of Writer docs that I recently opened, especially when I've worked on ten word processing files since the last time I used Calc. In that case, the last spreadsheet I used has been pushed off the list. I can't imagine what value this has - I promise I will never open a Writer doc in Calc. Is there any way to list only Writer docs in Writer, Calc spreadsheets in Calc, and so on?
If this has been covered, I apologize; I searched docs and forums but didn't find.
Thanks. |

There is no way of doing this with a single installation. OOo is a single application so the list of files is shared. One terribly inefficient way of doing it is to install multiple versions of OOo and set up each as a single component, therefore you'd have a Writer installation, a Calc installation and so on. _________________ Arch Linux

Thanks for the reply. It is as I feared - the ideal of a "single app" getting in the way of basic usability. Superficial integration run amok. Sigh. |
