I opened my file of Excel.

I found one bug. I see, for example, 01.04.1991 in the cell, but real value is 02.04.1991. And real value also I can see in the input line.

The same difference I see in the format cell window of the cell. Real value is in the bottom of Font section and illegal one in Font effect section.

When I go to the such cell I see that the showing value is quickly changed in the input line to the right value (01.04.1991 to 02.04.1991, where 04 is month).

Only some dates are illegal. Others are displayed right.

I use Open office 2.2.0 at windows platform.

Calc and Excel both store points in time as "days from midnight, 1.1.1900". The trouble is, Excel assumes 1900 was a leap year (which it was not). That means that all dates after 28.2.1900, saved in binary format by excel, will be 1 too high (so all dates will show as 1 day later) when using software with a correct calendar function.

The bug is in Excel, not in Calc. The Calc import filters for Excel could have taken this into account, and adjusted all time references, but would then break any spreadsheet that takes this error into account, and risk destroying any "accumulated time" data exceeding two months.

The majority part of dates are stored and displayed right. There are only a few dates with this trouble. Not all !

For example, 16.04.1992, 04.11.1991 and many others are right.
02.04.1991, 21.12.1991 have this effect.

I think It's program error. When I go down by keyboard arrows I see 01.04.1991 in the input line and in the cell, i.e. they are equal. But when I go to the cell by mouse or by keyboard from right, left or bottom cell I see 01.04.1991 in the cell and 02.04.1991 in the input line.

And why I see in the format cell window two different value at two pages? They should be equal!

I changed dates since 04.11.1991 and got the next result. The troubles cover the date interval since 11.1991 till 19.01.1992. Since 20.01.1992 dates are displayed and stored right.

And more. I have made two cells with 21.12.1991 value, the one is at one line lower the other in the same column. They show different values. There is a wide field for experiments... Does it need?
