| Where is the eraser function within Draw? Either I am blind or just can't find it but it is a rudimentary function that should be on the tool bar. |

It should be on the tool bar if Draw were a canvas oriented, bitmap based drawing application. It is an object oriented, vector based drawing application. So you can't erase like you want to (like when working with pencil and paper), but must remove or hide (cover) objects that should not be seen (somewhat like working on a collage).
The good news is that you're not going blind  |

| After you select a graphic object (eight green square 'handles' appear), just hit the Delete key to "erase" it. |
