If I have a MS Office file open and someone else tries to open it, they get an error saying that the file is in use by 'bob' and they can open it as read only if they want.
However, I've found that with OOo, they get a file is open by 'another user', which means they have no idea who's locking the file.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? We have W2K and XP Pro PCs on a Win NT4 domain.
Thanks in advance! |

In short, there is no way of fixing this in your environment. MS Office uses a proprietary file locking system that OOo does not. A real file locking system is really needed, not something Windows does. _________________ Arch Linux
