|
|
Tried to set up a database in Windows with BASE as front and MySQL as back end via MyODBC driver. The data stored in MySQL can be edited in BASE but not changed or deleted.
It is not possible in BASE to change access rights in Tools/User Administration. The tables in MySQL all have Primary keys and the InnoDB engine is used.
Surprisingly it is possible to create a new table through BASE in MySQL, but after reopening it, the same problem occurs.
What is wrong with it? Is it a bug or can I do something to make it working?
It works fine with MSAccess. When linking the tables, Access asks additionally for the tables and fields in the tables.
Is it better to go with PostgreSQL since they offer a special (beta-)driver for BASE?
Tx in advance |

Paulchen,
Thanks for that link - I just got done reading over the mail list entries and the installation documentation. It looks interesting, I think I will have to give this a try also. _________________ Blog - http://baseanswers.spaces.live.com/ |
