|
|
Is there a keyboard shortcut for the MS Excel shortcut "ctrl + g": This pops up a "go to" dialog, allowing immediate entry of a cell you want to go to. A similar thing is possible using the navigator in Calc, but this is more cumbersome to use (first of all: I do not know how to focus to the navigator using only the keyboard, which I prefer over using a mouse as I am often using a laptop).
Is there a viable alternative?
Info on how to focus to the navigator pane using the keyboard is also welcome. _________________ LibreOffice 3.4.3 |

F5 is what I use in Excel for Go To, and same in Calc, rather than Ctrl-G. Pressing F5 again gets rid of the dialogue box.
I agree it's a bit more cumbersome. To get to cell B26 in Calc, say:
Press F5
Press Del to clear the column letter
Press B
Press Tab to highlight the row number
Press 26
Press Enter
Press F5 to get rid of the dialogue box.
In Excel I think I just:
Press F5
Press B26
Press Enter
There may be a better way in Calc.... |

Enter a range address into the name box left of the formula bar. If you enter something which is not a generic address nor an existing range name, then it will name the currently selected cells. |

To access the Name Box via the keyboard, use Ctrl+Shift+T or Ctrl+Shift+F5
If you want to map that to Ctrl+G:
- Tools > Customise... > Keyboard
- Select Ctrl+G in the Shortcut keys
- Select Application in Category
- Select Sheet Area Input Field in Function
- Press the Modify and OK buttons

This does no work for me. When I press F5 in OOo Calc, the focus is still on the sheet and not on the navigator pane. And as I do not know how to focus on it ...

This works better for me. Alleviates the need for the navigator pane.
However, is there a way to focus to the navigator pane? As I say above, this seems to be impossible for me without using the mouse pointer. _________________ LibreOffice 3.4.3 |
