I need to use "ACN" (without quotes) as an abbreviation in certain cells. Every time I try, every version of OOo I've used, up to and including 2.3RC1, insists on changing it to "can" (without quotes). I have unchecked "Correct two initial capitals", I've added "ACN" to my exceptions lists, both in "abbreviations" and "words with two initial capitals". I've added "ACN" to my user word lists, but nothing works. Calc still insists on changing "ACN" to "can". CAN this annoyance be fixed?

Hi,
Under Tools: Autocorrect, when i say replace ACN with ACN, it seems to work.

| Tools > AutoCorrect > Replace tab, select “acn --> can” and Delete button. |

That's the weird bit - there NEVER WAS such a listing in the "Replace" tab. That was always the first place I'd look. I was always do an uninstall and clean install of each new version, and periodically purge my registry of all traces of OOo after I've done a few such uninstall.reinstall sets. So today, for example, the registry was clean, and the 2.3RC1 install had a completely empty Autocorrect section. None of the Autocorrect tabs had any entries at all, but it was still happening.
