| I'm on Suse 10.2. Just upgraded from OOo 2.0.3 to 2.3 using Smart. Program runs fine, but every time I try to open an .odt file it pops up a file filter dialogue, as though it doesn't recognise the file format. Any thoughts where I start with this? |

Did you install all the packages? Perhaps you installed OpenOffice.org without installing Writer. One way to check is to start OpenOffice.org and click File->New. Do you see Text Document listed in that menu? _________________ <signature>

Now why didn't I think of that? You're quite right - the installation is borked. As it was a fully automated update, it's the update files that must be broken somehow. Ah well, looks like I'll be downloading & installing manually... |
