Installing Open Office using the .deb files on Xubuntu

I tried installing Open Office 2.3 on a Xubuntu computer, but have no success with it, so could anyone please enlighten me on the correct installation method for the Open Office 2.3 .deb package?

See here : [Ubuntu] Installing OOo on Debian and Co. It's easier now since OOo is available in .debs directly, no need to alien the RPMs.
