I created a spreadsheet which I was able to sort using the DATA - SORT menu. However, after making changes to the sheet, I now cannot sort the data. The SORT command appears unbolded when I define a range and then go to DATA - SORT. How can I get the sort ability back?

What OS and version of OOo are you using?
What are you sorting (numeric or character )?

Open Office 2.3.0
I'm trying to sort text cells, i.e. characters, but I'd also like to sort numeric data too. |

If I edit a cell with EDIT - CHANGES - RECORD turned off, the ability to sort remains.
If I edit a cell with CHANGES being recorded, the ability to sort is removed, even after the changes are accepted. |

| I think I've discovered the problem, Open Office Calc can't sort if "record changes" is turned on. |
