| My computer crashed in the middle of using OO and I deleted the document I was originally working on. Now whenever I open OO I get the Document Recovery screen but there is no scroll bar or any buttons to click (not even the "Start Recovery" button). How do I move on from this screen, as it freezes my OO every time I try to use it? I'm using Linux, and NOT Windows! |

OpenOffice.org 2.3 (Linux)- How to reset after a crash
If the application will not start correctly, try renaming the openoffice.org settings directory to something else. In Ubuntu Linux you can open a terminal window, then enter the following code: | Code: | | mv .openoffice.org2/ old.openoffice.org | All the settings will be reset to the defaults, but you can recover any templates from the renamed directory. |
