|
|
I am writing a presentation which contains lots of short video files scattered in various folders. I would like to embed them in the presentation so I can copy the presentation freely without tracking down the video files.
I am fairly new to impress, but I am a long time user or Ooo Writer. Hence, I went to Edit/Links to brake the links and embed the files in the presentation. Unfortunately it is greyed out.
When I move the presentation to a new folder I loose the videos whilst the images are there.
I added the videos using Insert/Movie and sound.
Is it possible to break the link and embed the videos into the presentation so the resulting .opd file contains everything needed for the presentation?
Thanks |

This enhancement is not implemented, so you cannot use it. However, you can add up to 2 votes for the issue after registering for the Issue Tracker

Thanks Andrew,
How about at least tracking down the path of videos already added? The Edit/Links should make it possible to look at links. Breaking them is another issue.
It is a good idea sometimes not to embed a video or image, hence if the video/image changes, as it happens to me a lot, I do not have to go through, add and format them again.
I do not agree that videos must be embedded in a presentation by default. In fact, images shouldn't be either. There should be a choice like in writer.
I guess my question has two parts:
- Is it possible to see what is linked into a presentation?
- Is it possible to break the link?
Is the answer no, no? |

Through the standard GUI, I think no. However, if you really want, you could unzip the .ods file and search through the XML.
Also, it should be possible to write a BASIC macro to find the paths for you.

No, I think that's what the issue is about. _________________ <signature>
