Owing to the forum I using independent numbering:
# Insert Field (ctrl+F2),
# Variables tab,
etc.
When I include it in chapter structure level 2, the numbering format is:
"2.3 1" (space between 3 and 1).
I want format: "2.3.1." like with embedded structures, for example tables, figures.
How can I do It? Please help.

I don't understand this because you indicate that Level 2 shows 2.3 1 but Level 2 should only show 2.3 whereas Level 3 should show 2.3.1.
The only way I can see that Level 2 would result in 2.3 1 is if at Tools > Outline Numbering you had <space>1 in the After box for Level 2. |

It is a little different.
I guess: level 2 indicate that two levels of hierarchy precedes the number of illustration for example.
In the context menu of "Field" at the right bottom of the window "Edit Fields: Variables" is level with possibility to set "None". Then illustration has only the serial number.
Numbering with illustration works properly.
My problem deal with the independent numbering. I want it would be working like with embedded type e. g. illustration.
