Format A4 paper size for all users in Linux

Using PCLOS 2008 and OOo 2.3. Would like to be able to make the default size paper A4 for all users. Is there a way to do this?

I have been searching the web for two days and the closest I have come to saving a format for all users has been the sticky thread in this forum. The only problem is that it seems geared for windows users. I would really appreciate some Linux pointers.

Edit: The A4 paper with standard A4 margins. This is what I am looking for to be set as the default for all users.

Create a new file : /etc/papersize
with a single line :
